About Us

Valiant Woman Ministries (VWM) was founded in April, 2008 by Minister Arelia V. Pendergrass. Inspired by the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, Miss Pendergrass has the call of God on her life to minister to those who are experiencing the pressures of life; who have experienced disappointment, tragedy, or loss; or simply desire prayer and/or encouragement. Although the Holy Spirit inspired vision of Valiant Woman Ministries is to minister to the spiritual and emotional needs of women, we also assist men who desire prayer or who wish to be referred to a ministry that can further minister to their needs.
The scriptures used in The Daily Inspiration, are taken from the New King James Version of the Bible unless otherwise noted.

Created in the Image of God
Many Christians today don't know who they are. If they did, they would see more victories won, signs & wonders, miracles, and a host of other exploits wrought by men & women through Christ who are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Yet, in the very first chapter of the book of beginnings, Genesis, we are told in whose image we are created.
All men & women were created in the very image of God. Our God is One, manifested in three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). He is a Spirit being, and so are we. We are triune beings (like God), spirit, soul, & body. When we fully understand that we are not "soul men", but that we are a spirit who possess a soul (mind, will, & emotions), and live in a physical body, we will then began to grasp the Godhead. That is why when you become born again (saved), your inward man wants to do what's right, but your soul man (your mind, will, & emotions) still thinks in terms of your old self. And your body is even more confused because it doesn't understand why it's not doing the same things it did before. God said, "Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. Created in God's Image Part II

Discussing how God created us in His image. We are a spirit (like God), we have a soul (mind, will, and emotions), and we live in a physical body.

Your body & soul began to wage a war with your regenerated, born again, spirit man and the battle is on!

It may be difficult to understand the Trinity, at first. I sometimes give the example of water, steam, and ice. It's all water, but they have different functions.

It's similar with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost as He's referred to in the KJV).

We've learned mostly about the ministry of God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

Many believers may not completely understand God the Father and what exactly it is He desires of us, why He created us, and how He operates in us with Christ & the Holy Spirit.

God has shown Himself to us through His Son Jesus. In John's gospel (14:8), the disciple Philip asks Jesus;

"Lord show us the Father, then we shall be satisfied" (AMP).

Jesus responds in vs. 9, "Have I been with all of you for so long a time, and do you not recognize and know Me yet, Philip? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father." (AMP)

To be concluded next week...

Scripture Reference: 1 John 5:7...1 Cor. 15:44
